There was a bright future for freight management in 1975, and that’s just what Tom Schmitt saw. His vision was to offer shippers a reliable partner who could stealthily provide accurate and reliable cost savings, as well as time savings optimization, through details related to freight audit and freight payment.
Working in collaboration with clients’ transportation and logistics teams to verify the accuracy of shipping invoices against secured contracts with carriers, we increased our volume. We expanded our offering to include a range of cost and time saving weapons, including hyper-accurate reporting, high-performance actionable analysis, and flexible new ways to pay.
In 2006, Tom’s freight audit and payment ninjas (aka daughters) Jaime Syring and Denise Lawien bought Trans International — making it 100% woman-owned and certified by the WBENC. As CEO, Jaime spearheads our continual transformation into digitally powered, automated technologies while gaining kudos for her unique, egalitarian management style. As Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Denise has continued to grow the company’s brand, protecting our clients assets and finding opportunities for reconciliation with carriers to ensure supply chain stability.
The evolution of the company doesn’t stop there. We’re armed to the gills with an impressive legacy and experience to propel us as we continue to reshape and redefine the industry — and find new ways to provide cost and time savings for our clients.
